Moss café aims to be accessible to the entire community of Riverdale and beyond. For this reason, we are not only kosher under the Riverdale Vaad, but we also offer allergy-friendly options. Whether you can’t have dairy, gluten, nuts, or simply prefer not to have any of the above, we are happy to accommodate your preferences to the best of our abilities. In addition to being a pescatarian restaurant, we have strictly vegetarian and vegan options as well. 

​A note about our menus – they change a lot. Because we use small, local, and therefore seasonal farms, we constantly change the menu to work with the produce we have available to us. We utilize preservation methods such as pickling, curing, jam-making, etc. to diversify the menu and make the amazing, seasonal produce we get last a little bit longer. Items that are never seasonal in New York (hello: avocados and lemons!) will not be local of course, but their quality and the quality of their source will remain priority nonetheless.
